About the UPA

We are a people of faith.

The UPA is a community of people who extend themselves in relation to each other based on faith in God as revealed through the Scriptures. The church relies upon and celebrates God's presence in the world and in its own life. It is the special task of the church to witness to God's presence everywhere.

We are a community that cares for each other, living within the hopes and pain of this world. We are concerned about the relevance of Christian faith for contemporary life.

We are diverse people, of all ages, many religions, backgrounds, various beliefs and
opinions, who struggle to be Christian in this modern age. Some of us are sure about what we believe, others are searching. We celebrate and respect our diversity, and strive to speak faithfully on matters of common Christian concerns. We are an open and affirming and reconciling ministries congregation.

We take seriously the priorities adopted by our two parent denominations, the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church.

Welcome to the United Parish of Auburndale.
